Presenter Biography:
Jean Block began her nonprofit career at age 13, when she organized her first fundraiser, a back yard carnival for C.A.R.E. Since then, she has served in leadership positions as both staff and volunteer for numerous local, regional and national nonprofits.
Jean is now a nationally recognized consultant and trainer in nonprofit management, fundraising, Board development and governance and social enterprise. She has written two books: "Fast Fundraising Facts for Fame & Fortune" and "The ABCs of Building Better Boards".
In 2006, Jean was founding partner in Social Enterprise Ventures, LLC, a national training company that teaches nonprofits the skills required to diversify their revenue through earned income. She developed the curriculum for three training programs for her company.
